Sri Chaitanya - Life on Campus
A home away from home: The philosophy of Sri Chaitanya has been to offer a separate campus for different streams. The rationale behind this move is to keep the students focused on their primary goal. Hostel accommodation is offered separately to boys and girls.

A residential campus is usually located in idyllic environs away from the din and clamor of the city. Round-the-clock vigil is maintained on the campus – especially girls’ hostels to make secure and protected. The authorities believe in offering rigid security for girl students to ensure comfortable ambience for study and privacy as well.
Academics: Students on Sri Chaitanya residential campus are prepared primarily for competitive examinations at the national level – IIT-JEE, AFMC, AIEEE, AIIMS, BITSAT, JIPMER, VIT, NEET etc. Equipped with the state’s best teaching faculty the academic activity on campus is split into three segments – teaching hours from 6 am to 12:30 pm followed by lunch and rest; study hour from 2 pm to 5 pm followed by break for games and sports; study hour from 6 pm to 10 pm with dinner break at 8 pm.

Periodical tests in the actual examination pattern are conducted and students are counseled to draw out the best in them. Keeping in view the best career prospects after Intermediate, students are given result-oriented coaching. The staff believes that expert teaching must be supported by properly monitored study hours to ensure a student’s success.
Counselling: Students who join fresh at our residential campus get over home-sickness very quickly. The reason is that the staff ensures a congenial atmosphere akin to home. The ambience prevailing on campus makes it seem a home away from home. The administrative staff extends group and one-on-one counseling to every student to ensure that he is in the comfort zone round-the-clock. Focus is not just on academics but also on welfare of student.

A sound body is very vital for a sharp mind. The students on boys’ campus enjoy a daily work-out at the well equipped gymnasium on campus under the watchful eye of the instructor. Students also partake in outdoor sports activity on campus to keep fit.
Hostel:  The hostel is under the supervision of Hostel-in-charge, Assistant hostel-in-charges and wardens. The hostel staff attends to students and ensures that amenities offered to them are in good order. Students are provided with mineral water for drinking 24/7, and hot water for bath everyday.
Healthcare: The campus also houses a sick-room for students who are indisposed. A qualified doctor attends to the healthcare of students. Free medicine is given to students who fall sick.   Referrals are made to reputed hospitals where required. Parents are kept informed of the health status of students who are indisposed. Periodic check-up is done in areas of dental, eye-sight, and blood pressure.

Dialing Home: Pay phone booths are kept within the hostel premises so that boarders can call parents and keep them posted of their well-being. Students can access only numbers given by parents.  Tuck shops within the respective campuses cater to the day to day requirements of the hostellers.

“Healthy body leads to healthy mind”

Mess: Meal time is when students interact with each other freely. We take a lot of care to prepare food under extremely hygienic conditions with a cosmopolitan spread. Students are offered milk in the mornings and milk/tea in the evening break along with snacks, apart from the regular breakfast, lunch and dinner. Separate floors are allotted for the vegetarian and non-vegetarian students. Food is tasted by the administrative staff first before it is served to students to ensure quality and proper cooking. Of course no food can match food prepared at home. But best efforts are put in to ensure that students relish food on campus. After all the campus is their home for two years.

“All work and no play make Jack a dull boy”

Sports and Games are a part of students’ life on Sri Chaitanya Residential Campuses. To improve physical fitness and group behavior including team spirit, students are encouraged to take part in sporting activities. Meditation and Yoga sessions are also organized to keep the young minds stress-free. National festivals are celebrated on campus besides the religious festivals – Christmas, Ramzan and Diwali. This brings out the true spirit of students. There is room also for social activities like blood donation, helping the needy and clean & green activity.
