Is NCERT Enough for JEE Mains? Find Out Here
Posted on June 27, 2022 by sri_adminWhile preparing for JEE mains, students often wonder if NCERT is enough for the preparations. While these books are excellent for laying down the foundation and help you master the basics, they might not be enough to crack such a competitive and high-intensity examination.
There are several reasons why experts suggest referring to other books while preparing for JEE mains. Some of them are listed below –
- Numericals are an important part of the exam and take up a significant portion of the Physics section. These questions require a lot of practice, and aspirants need to work on multiple questions to be able to do them smoothly at the time of the exam. NCERT books do not have enough numerical questions for you to practice. Hence, you will have to refer to other sources.
- NCERT is excellent for Inorganic Chemistry, and we have seen a lot of direct NCERT questions being asked in this section. However, other parts of Chemistry, like Physical Chemistry, require you to refer to other learning materials and books specifically created for JEE preparation.
- When it comes to Mathematics, practice is key. The more questions you practice, the easier it will be for you to solve them during the exam.
- Most JEE toppers agree that studying from specialised JEE books was beneficial for them and helped them score higher in the exams.
