The JEE application forms have been out since June 1st, 2022. The 1st batch of exams will start from June 20th to June 29th, while the second session will be held from July 21st to July 30th, 2022. As the exam is near, the aspirants are at the peak of their preparation and have started with the application process.
The JEE exam is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for the aspirants to enroll in the NITs and IITs for the undergraduate engineering courses. Registration Process for JEE Mains
You can download the registration form online, fill it and submit it online. No hard copy will be entertained, and the authorities will accept only online applications.
Phase 1 aspirants are also allowed to apply for phase 2. Visit the official website of the JEE Main NTA and download the form directly. Here’s the registration procedure-
- Step 1: Visit the official website
- Step 2: Download the application form by registering. Note the application form number.
- Step 3: Create an account password and select a security question. Remember the answer for emergency purposes.
- Step 4: Fill in all the personal details carefully, and you will get the application number once done
Filling the Application Form
Once you’ve created the account successfully, you can begin the other process, i.e., filling out the application form. Here, you will have to be extra cautious to avoid unnecessary mistakes.
Log in using the application number and the password that you have created. The form contains content fields such as the candidate’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, identity type, identification number, etc.
You need to upload your passport-size photograph and signature in the jpg. or jpeg. format. While uploading, please ensure that both images are not blurred, else, your registration form will be rejected. Also, they do not offer the form correction option. Hence, you need to be more diligent while applying.

Now that you have registered and filled out the application form, it’s time to pay the fees and submit the form. The payment option is available in various modes: via credit/ debit/ net banking/ Paytm or UPI. Upon successful transaction, you will receive the confirmation. In Case of Form Correction
As per NTA, you cannot rectify particular fields. That includes –
- Address
- Correspondence address
- Mobile number
If you are an Aadhaar-verified candidate, here are the details that you can change in your form –
- You can change either your father or mother’s name
- You can re-upload the category certificate or change it. However, only one can be done.
- You can either change the sub-category or re-upload the document.
- You can select or add courses as per required.
